Today, we opened our doors to royalty and an array of red, white and blue to celebrate the King’s Coronation. There were many activities to take part in, including croquet on the lawn (in between the showers!) and designing the King’s crown.
A banquet of fish and chips and strawberries and cream were enjoyed by all at lunchtime and then everyone joined in some celebratory singing. All in all it was a joyous occasion that the children made the very most of, in spite of the typical British weather – and then, as the day came to a close, after a visit from our local ice-cream van there were sticky faces all round!
