It’s been a week full of activity for the children this week at MKPS. On Tuesday the Year 6 children paid a visit to Mary Arden’s Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon at the Shakespeare Centre, where they took part in a ‘Best Will in the Word’ workshop as part of their Macbeth studies. They had fun re-enacting key moments from the play, such as the meeting of the three witches and various battle scenes.
Meanwhile, over at the Farm, the children have been busy potting up their impressive broad bean and pea plants and harvesting cabbage ready to sell to parents after school today, with great success, whilst this morning, the children in Years 3-6 rounded off the week by participating in our second annual maths house competition. Each team of 2 or 3 pupils completed challenges such as ‘broken calculators’, ‘arithmagons’, “ordering numbers” and “make 24”. The all important results will be announced in assembly on Monday, along with a presentation of a brand new trophy!
